STATEWIDE – Delta Dental of Colorado Foundation (DDCOF) has released a request for applications (RFA) from Colorado nonprofit organizations interested in implementing projects or seeking general operating support to advance oral health equity in their communities.

The Colorado Medical-Dental Integration (CO MDI) Project integrates dental hygienists into medical teams to provide oral health services. Funded by Delta Dental of Colorado Foundation (DDCOF) with additional support from the Colorado Health Foundation for Wave II, the project is currently in its fourth year, with funding provided to 26 medical practices.

A dental clinic at Melissa Memorial Hospital gained a positive nod last week when it was announced that the hospital district will be receiving a $185,000 grant in a partnership with Delta Dental of Colorado Foundation.

Grant Funding to 10 Colorado Nonprofit Medical Practices to Provide Dental Services

Delta Dental of Colorado Foundation will provide $3.3 million in funding over four years to 10 Colorado nonprofit medical practices to integrate a dental hygienist into their medical teams to provide dental services. This funding is part of Wave II of DDCOF’s Colorado Medical-Dental Integration (CO MDI) Project, which seeks to improve the oral health of underserved Coloradans. Twenty-six medical practices have received funding from DDCOF through the CO MDI Project since it launched in 2015.
