Another year of generous funding from Delta Dental of Colorado helped us raise the visibility of the foundation. With the support of our board, we were able to use innovative methods to reach target populations through our initiatives and projects.

Program integrates medical, dental care for the needy
9News reported on Worthmore Clinic in Aurora. Many patients at Worthmore Clinic are refugees who have resettled in the U.S. The clinic is one of 16 different medical clinics that are part of the Colorado Medical Dental Integration (CO MDI) project. CO MDI brings free dental services to existing medical clinics serving low-income and needy populations across the state.

Set healthy habits for kids’ teeth this February
is Children’s Dental Health Month, a time to educate families across our state on what we can all do at home to help prevent the No. 1 chronic disease in kids today: tooth decay. School of Dental Medicine appoints Bailey to Endowed Chair
Assistant Surgeon General of the United States Public Health Service Commissioned Corps William D. Bailey, DDS, MPH, has been appointed by the CU School of Dental Medicine as the endowed chair in Prevention of Early Childhood Caries. His appointment is effective August 1, 2014 following his retirement from the U.S. Public Health Service Commissioned Corps in spring 2014. Funded by Delta Dental of Colorado Foundation, the endowed chair in Prevention of Early Childhood Caries aims to further Delta Dental’s and the School of Dental Medicine’s mutual goal of eradicating childhood tooth decay.
