Colorado will soon start licensing dental therapists in effort to help expand oral health care options

A 2022 bill provided the means for licensing dental therapists, a mid-level provider who could narrow the oral health equity gap. But training for them doesn’t exist in Colorado.

Grant to Raising a Reader to Aid Reading, Oral Health

Raising a Reader Aspen to Parachute has received a grant from Delta Dental of Colorado Foundation that will support two existing programs: Bolsitas Rojas, a parent-child education program; and 123 Let's Read, a literacy-readiness program for preschool-age children. In addition, each student will receive an age-appropriate, bilingual oral health book and a toothbrush, toothpaste, and oral health guidance for their parents.

Investment of $2 million supports organizations across the state providing support services to community members most impacted by COVID-19.

DENVER – Delta Dental of Colorado Foundation (DDCOF) is providing $2 million in funding this year to 34 Colorado nonprofit organizations, reaching 95,000 Coloradans. These organizations connect people most significantly impacted by the effects of COVID-19 to health care services and resources such as food and housing assistance.
