Delta Dental of Colorado Foundation has released a request for applications from Colorado nonprofit organizations interested in implementing projects or seeking general operating support to advance oral health equity in their communities. Grant Funding to 10 Colorado Nonprofit Medical Practices to Provide Dental Services

Delta Dental of Colorado Foundation will provide $3.3 million in funding over four years to 10 Colorado nonprofit medical practices to integrate a dental hygienist into their medical teams to provide dental services. This funding is part of Wave II of DDCOF’s Colorado Medical-Dental Integration (CO MDI) Project, which seeks to improve the oral health of underserved Coloradans. Twenty-six medical practices have received funding from DDCOF through the CO MDI Project since it launched in 2015.

November 28, 2017 Delta Dental of Colorado Foundation (DDCOF) released a request for applications (RFA) from nonprofit medical practices in Colorado interested in integrating a dental hygienist into their medical teams to provide dental hygiene services. This RFA is part of Wave II of funding for DDCOF’s Colorado Medical-Dental Integration (CO MDI) Project, which seeks to improve the oral health of vulnerable Coloradans.

Endowed Scholarship in Pediatric Preventive Dentistry Honors Executive Director’s Efforts to Help Colorado Kids Improve Oral Health

Delta Dental of Colorado Foundation and the University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine have announced the "Barbara Springer Endowed Scholarship in Pediatric Preventive Dentistry.” This scholarship was established to honor Barbara Springer’s commitment to helping the underserved and to pass the torch to the next generation who share her passion for improving the dental health of Colorado's children.

Moving the Needle on the #1 Chronic Disease of Childhood

The results of a new study by Delta Dental of Colorado Foundation demonstrate the effectiveness of the bilingual Cavities Get Around campaign in the effort to prevent tooth decay, the #1 chronic disease of childhood and a “silent epidemic.” The study, conducted by HealthCare Research, Inc., was given to 600 low-income families in English and Spanish across Colorado, and shows significant progress toward improving child oral health by reducing consumption of juices and drinking more water.CGA_Lockup_ENGLISH-01
