Allison Cusick, Executive Director

Allison Cusick is the executive director of the Delta Dental of Colorado Foundation. Her background includes 18 years of nonprofit and oral health leadership experience. Before joining the foundation, she worked at Washington Dental Service Foundation and also has held a variety of health positions in the early learning field. She has a master’s degree in public administration from Seattle University and a bachelor’s degree in health promotion and education from Oregon State University. Allison serves on the board of directors for Bright By Three Colorado.

Monica Woods, Executive Assistant

Monica Woods is executive assistant to Allison Cusick and the foundation board. Prior to working for Delta Dental of Colorado, she held the positions of Director of Client Services at Security Life of Denver/ING and the Rocky Mountain Western Regional Coordinator at Pfizer Pharmaceuticals. Monica graduated with a bachelor’s of science degree in social work from Metropolitan State University.

Lisa Konen, Communications Director

Lisa Konen is the communications director for the foundation, and also leads the community benefit efforts for Delta Dental of Colorado. The main goal of the community benefit program is to give back to Coloradoans and to increase the public’s knowledge about oral health. She has an extensive insurance background, coming to Delta Dental from Great-West Life. Lisa graduated with a bachelor’s degree from Carleton College.

Wyatt Hornsby, Campaign Director

Wyatt Hornsby leads the foundation’s multi-faceted, award-winning Public Will Building initiative. He manages a portfolio of strategically aligned grantees, partners and contractors. Previously, he held positions with the The Colorado Health Foundation, the Colorado Neurological Institute, University Hospitals Health System and Cleveland Clinic. Wyatt has a bachelor’s degree in history and political science from West Virginia Wesleyan College and his master’s degree in history from North Carolina State University.

Megan Wilson, Senior Program Officer
Megan Wilson leads the foundation’s initiatives and projects focused on expanding access to care and supporting the workforce, including the Colorado Medical-Dental Integration Project (CO MDI). Most recently, she was the executive director of Reach Out and Read Colorado. She has spent her career working in the nonprofit sector focused on family support and advocacy and has extensive experience leading teams and developing programs. She has a master’s degree in Public Service Management from DePaul University.

 

Amy Maillet, Sr. Communications and Design Specialist

Amy Maillet is the senior communications and graphic design specialist for the foundation. She also supports the community benefit efforts for Delta Dental of Colorado. She has worked as a Brand Development and Proposal Graphic Designer as well as a Marketing Coordinator and Trade Publication Editor. Amy graduated with a bachelor’s degree in communications from the University of Arizona.

Cherith Flowerday, Associate Program Officer

Cherith Flowerday is an associate program officer for the foundation, responsible for implementing the Colorado Medical-Dental Integration Project (CO MDI). Previously, Cherith spent three years working for the US Peace Corps in South America, was the Workforce Programs Manager and Grants Manager for the Colorado Rural Health Center, and has held multiple management roles within the nonprofit and for-profit sectors. Cherith has a degree in business administration from Berea College.

Sherwin Louie, Interim Controller

Sherwin Louie oversees Delta Dental of Colorado’s financial accounting team. Prior to joining Delta Dental, he worked for ProLogis as a manager analyzing land costs for industrial real estate property developments. He also worked for Ernst & Young as an audit and tax senior. Sherwin has a bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance from the University of Hawaii at Manoa.

Mirella Chavez, Community Benefit Coordinator

Mirella Chavez is the community benefit coordinator at Delta Dental of Colorado. Ms. Chavez represents Delta Dental as the Tooth Fairy at public events and fairs sponsored by the company. As a bilingual speaker, she is invaluable to getting our message of the importance of oral health out to the general public. Mirella is pursuing her bachelor’s of science degree in healthcare management at Metropolitan State University.

Kevin MacCary, J.D.

Kevin MacCary has been providing pro bono legal support to the Delta Dental of Colorado Foundation since 1997. He also is the vice president and general counsel for United Launch Alliance (ULA), headquartered in Centennial, CO. Kevin joined ULA from Lockheed Martin Space Systems Company where he was counsel for multiple programs. Kevin has a bachelor’s degree from Siena College and his juris doctor degree from Georgetown University Law Center. He holds a master of law from The Judge Advocate General’s School as well as a master’s of business administration from the University of Colorado, Denver.
